Walking in Almeria is one of the best ways to get to know its coastline. Routes through the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Reserve, Sorbas, and Karst or the Sierra de Alhamilla are some of the best-loved destinations.

One of the most popular trails is found in Sierra de Gador, in Almeria: Enix, a trail that takes about four hours. It begins in Almeria, through the Fuenterrica area, where the trail ascends until it reaches the highest point, giving magnificent views over Almeria.

You’ll have the chance to take in fantastic landscapes all along this trail, and of course their contrasts in colour; the mountains, cities and beaches which join open valleys and the Mediterranean Sea, making this area quite spectacular.
The highest point on this trail takes you to a tarmac path that goes through the forest and, sooner or later, to Enix.
