The province of Almeria has some 214 kilometres of coastline, covering all types of beaches. The Western Almerian Coast is characterised by its tourism – both for the population clusters and the type of terrain it covers. Its gentle landscape is great for the spacious beaches, which are easy to reach and have everything that a visitor might need at just a few metres from the beaches themselves. It’s no surprise that the nine western beaches on the province have been given the Blue Flag for Quality, aslo Almerimar´s beaches have been given the Q of Quality. Proof of this are the unspoilt beaches on this coast, as well as the natural beauty spots such as that at Punta Entinas-Sabinar, the Las Albuferas de Adra Nature Reserve, the Barrera de Posidonia Reef in Roquetas de Mar, or the Salt Flats at Guardias Viejas: all charming places which simply must be visited.
